Andrew Cheshire, Psychodynamic Psychotherapist
I am a psychotherapist covering Guildford and am a member of the British Psychoanalytic Council, as well as the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling. I follow all their ethical guidelines whilst upholding the highest of standards.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Economics & Social Studies from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Postgraduate Diploma (Masters level) in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice from a leading training faculty for psychotherapy accredited by Roehampton University. This was an intensive academic and clinical training course over a five year period and held at the WPF (now British Psychotherapy Foundation) in London. My qualifications allow me to work with adults over the age of 18 (once ot twice weekly) on a 1-2-1 basis.
I have been an addictions counsellor at PROMIS clinics, residential and outpatient, which is a leading treatment clinic for addiction.
I have supervision with a registered psychoanalytical psychotherapist (BPC) and my own personal analysis with a registered psychoanalyst (BPC). I participate in continual professional development courses and my professional indemnity cover is rigorously kept up to date.
Apart from my clinical background, I have experience of the corporate sector
